Don’t panic. The French administration is notoriously messy to navigate and it can often feel overwhelming. Sophie can definitely help.

You can book one first free 10 minute call with Sophie. This call can be used to work directly on a task, for completely free. The task handled will be subject to our habitual terms, which can be found by clicking on the button below. Please prepare as much information and supporting documents ahead of your appointment to make the call as efficient and beneficial for you as possible. Restricted to one use per client.

If your task will require supporting documents, you can email them ahead of the appointment by replying to your appointment confirmation. You can forward correspondence and send across files and images.

At the appointed time, Sophie will call you on WhatsApp on the number you provide at the time of booking (or a regular phone call if you don’t use WhatsApp).

The call will last for the time block reserved (15 or 25 minutes). This time is dedicated to working on your task, whatever that might be. Sometimes it’s talking through your task, sometimes it’s drafting correspondence, sometimes it’s taking action from your online dashboard to whatever organisation (URSSAF, Ameli, banking etc). Together you will discuss whatever you need help with, Sophie will explain to you the process and then guide you through each step (whether it’s rounding up the right information, filling in forms, submitting your documents to the relevant services or whatever else). She will either assist you in getting it done, or will do it on your behalf, as may be appropriate.

If your task requires more time or a follow up, you will get access to a priority booking calendar so that your follow up can happen quickly.

In a perfect world, that’s what Sophie is striving for. Sometimes it’s simply not possible. This depends very much on your particular situation and what you’re trying to do. For instance if you need help to submit your personal income tax declaration, this can be done in a matter of minutes if you have all the relevant information to hand, such as your login codes and details of all your financials. You may, however, require a subsequent appointment at a later date if you are at an earlier stage of your French income tax journey and have yet to submit and declare some data, if your affairs are more complex, or if you do not yet have access to your personal taxation online dashboard (Sophie can help you get that!).

No. Most matters are handled most efficiently from behind a screen and a phone. As long as you have access to email, a phone and an internet connection, Sophie will be able to help with the most complex situations.

Each task is different and straightforward tasks can be completed in one 15 or 25 minute call. You will require subsequent appointments if you do not have all the supporting documents and information necessary for completing the task. Some administrative processes take time and will require additional appointments, such as establishing the basic foundations of a life in France (social security, taxation and medical) and for professional structures.

Yes! If you need Sophie to make a call on your behalf, whether to schedule appointments, meetings, understanding what someone is saying, in-call live translation or anything else, you can make an appointment as a group call to which you can invite and add participants or you can book a third party call. For third party calls, please provide the phone number of the person/organisation to be contacted and all relevant information at the time of booking (reason for call, references / customer information, and any relevant background information). Sophie will make the call on your behalf at the appointed time and you will receive an email update. For group calls, please put your contact details on the booking page, and add any additional relevant details in the comment section at the time of booking.

Sophie will require access to as much personal data as is necessary to complete your task. This may include providing information of a private or sensitive nature. You can read more about how your data is handled and safeguarded here

Your personal information is handled securely and periodically destroyed. No physical records of your personal data is created or stored for any purpose other than the task you are instructing. We strive to communicate using secure and encrypted services whenever possible. Please check here for our most up to date procedures and selected providers.

Some tasks are handled in real time on the call together and will be completed by the time you hang up. Some tasks are handled partway during the call together and require a subsequent appointment for completion. If this is the case, you will be given access to a priority booking schedule to ensure your follow-up is expedited within a maximum of 10 working days. Some tasks are subject to third party delays, such as waiting for a response from the tax office. In these instances, we can not advise on the time it will take.

Sophie can only go so far as the level of authentication you currently have and the authority you grant her for whatever task you need help with. Your identity and approval to communicate on your behalf will be required as relevant for your task.

Sophie can guarantee to help you with whatever it might be, she can not guarantee that the subsequent procedures and intervening intermediaries will handle your task properly, in a timely manner and to its conclusion. A booking with Sophie is for her time, knowledge, expertise and help. There are no guarantees that any task will be successfully completed if it is subject to external forces or if you do not provide the required supporting documents. Sophie applies a no-refund policy.
